Georgia Rasmussen is a DTC specialist in the Wine Category.

She has unique and extensive experience having worked in, built, and run, businesses in the channel in Australia and the USA (Napa Valley). She has worked in listed corporates and in privately owned businesses. These have included vertically integrated DTC retail businesses, and multinational trade businesses growing their DTC presence for both boutique, and global brands.

On the back of this experience, for the past 15 years she has worked directly with Australian wineries and Australian Regional and Governing bodies to help grow the channel. Along with her practical, profit driven approach, she also provides broader education to the market about the opportunity in the DTC Channel. Inflection points for growth and understanding in the channel have been the first dot com boom (2001), the introduction of social media (2008) and Covid19 (2020). The post COVID market conditions remain challenging, and DTC has never been more important.

Georgia focuses on the numbers and the data, to understand and model the size of the business opportunity (as it differs by winery), and to develop the infrastructure, resources and marketing strategies to meet and maximise that opportunity.
